2012 Red Handed

This Merlot is an intriguing garnet color, and the nose is rich and full of ripe plum, minerals, and raspberries. The mouthfeel is medium full and the taster is treated to an amazing array of ripe red fruit, cassis, and vanilla bean mingling with more subtle nuances of a dry creek bed and and old woman’s purse. The finish is crisp and clean and essences of vanilla and nutmeg lead into a firmly structured nuance. An excellent offering of a Merlot from Paso Robles. Decant if consumed young, and will age well for several years. Great with lamb or venison, and will hold its own with spicy dishes.

Wine #2

2012 Estate Limited Resource

Doug’s pride and joy, Limited Resource comes from carefully selected estate Cabernet Sauvignon. This Cab has a beautifully rich ruby color, and a crisp clean nose full of red fruit and vanilla. The mouthfeel is rich and full, while complex flavors of black raspberry, cinnamon, earth, and leather intermingle on the palate. A true Paso Robles Cab! Drinkable now, but will age well for the next five years. Eat with grilled meats or hearty pasta dishes.
